Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Candao mobile application ("App") or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Candao is a location-based social platform that enables users to discover people, places, and experiences nearby. Features include:

• Real-time presence and location sharing
• Meeting scheduling and invitations
• Stay listings and bookings
• Messaging and social interactions
• CDO token ecosystem and referral rewards

3. User Accounts

You must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 17 years old to use the Service.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant Candao a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service. You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Candao offers optional paid features ("Premium") including Zero Fee membership. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Subscription terms:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your mobile account at any time through Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account. Upon deletion:

• Your Firebase authentication and all personal data stored in our real-time database are permanently deleted
• Personal information in our backend database (name, avatar, bio, wallet address) is nullified
• Your backend profile is retained in a deactivated state per our data retention policy
• This action is irreversible

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content or the availability of the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Candao shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes through the App.
